YIN AND YANG

YIN AND YANG is an oil painting I created from the "Flow of Light" series. This series has been displayed at Jingmin Ren Art Exhibition 2023 in Bankstown Library and Knowledge Center, Sydney this year.

YIN AND YANG is an ancient Chinese philosophical concept that describes how opposite or contrary forces may be complementary, interconnected, and interdependent in the natural world and how they may give rise to each other as they interrelate. In Chinese cosmology, the universe creates itself out of primary chaos of material energy, flied into the cycles of Yin and Yang, which are then formed into objects and our lives.

To achieve this balance, the Daoism approach emphasizes aligning oneself with the equilibrium flows of the cosmos and living in harmony with nature because of the belief in natural order or “the way.”

The dolphins are the friendliest and one of the most intelligent creatures in the world.

Jellyfish are the oldest multi-organ animal and have roamed the seas for at least 600 million years; some jellyfish can rejuvenate. In this painting, they guide the dolphins to follow the light flow of energy.

I use color to convey my subjective feelings to create. I often become part of the universe. So as the dolphins follow the flow of lights to swim freely in this universe. We are raising others each to make the energy flow to harmony and balance, creating a positive circle.
