An evolving body of oil paintings developed through three years of observing Sydney’s sunrises, moving clouds and continually changing light.

Bringing together the Sydney Morning paintings and the related Cloud Series, the works explore how light transforms the sky from moment to moment—revealing colour, movement, energy and a sense of renewal.

这一持续发展的油画系列源于三年来对悉尼日出、流动的云层与不断变化的光线的持续观察。

作品将《悉尼清晨》与相关的《云》系列联系起来，探索光如何在每一个瞬间改变天空，呈现色彩、流动、能量与新生之感。

THREE YEARS OF SUNRISE OBSERVATION | 三年日出的持续观察

For three years, Jingmin Ren observed and photographed Sydney’s sunrises, following changing colours, cloud formations and qualities of light across different mornings and seasons.

These sustained observations became an important foundation for the Sydney Morning paintings and related Cloud Series. Through oil painting, Ren translates fleeting atmospheric moments into enduring visual forms, exploring movement, transformation and the relationship between light, nature and inner experience.

三年来，任静敏持续观察并拍摄悉尼的日出，记录不同清晨与季节中不断变化的色彩、云层形态与光线。

这些长期观察成为《悉尼清晨》及相关《云》系列绘画的重要基础。通过油画，任静敏将转瞬即逝的天空景象转化为持久的视觉形式，探索流动、变化，以及光、自然与内在经验之间的关系。

FROM OBSERVATION TO OIL PAINTING | 从观察到油画

Ren’s photographic archive became a point of departure for painting. The photographs were not used as fixed compositions, but as visual memories of particular qualities of light, colour, atmosphere and movement.

Through layered colour, expressive brushwork and evolving compositions, Ren translates transient atmospheric encounters into enduring visual forms shaped by perception and emotional response.

The paintings retain the distinctive energy of Sydney’s morning skies. Light becomes movement and renewal; clouds become changing structures through which nature, memory and inner experience meet.

任静敏长期积累的摄影记录成为绘画的出发点。这些照片并非作为固定构图被直接复制，而是作为对特定光线、色彩、氛围与运动状态的视觉记忆。

通过层叠的色彩、富有表现力的笔触与不断变化的构图，她将转瞬即逝的天空经验转化为由感知与情感回应塑造的持久视觉形式。

作品保留着悉尼清晨天空独特的能量。光转化为流动与新生，云则成为不断变化的结构，使自然、记忆与内在经验在其中相遇。

AWARDS & INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION | 获奖与国际认可

In 2017, the Sydney Morning Series received the International Outstanding Female Artist Award at the Third International Painting Festival of Hawaii.

Following the award, Ren was invited to speak as a representative award-winning artist at the festival’s international summit forum. In her address, she reflected on the sustained observation behind Sydney Morning and described how photographing the changing sky led to the development of her oil paintings.

This recognition marked an important stage in the evolution of the series, bringing Ren’s artistic exploration of Sydney’s morning light, clouds and inner experience to an international audience.

2017年，《悉尼清晨》系列在第三届夏威夷国际绘画艺术节中获得“国际杰出女性艺术家奖”。

获奖后，任静敏受邀作为获奖艺术家代表在艺术节国际高峰论坛发言，分享《悉尼清晨》背后的持续观察，以及长期拍摄天空变化如何逐渐发展为她的绘画实践。

这一认可成为《悉尼清晨》系列发展中的一个重要阶段，也使任静敏围绕悉尼晨光、云层与内在经验展开的艺术探索进入更广泛的国际交流语境。
