Love of Pisces No. 1

from $135.00

Flow of Light Series
Oil on canvas · 50 × 78 cm · 2022

Love of Pisces I is an oil painting from Jingmin Ren’s Flow of Light series. Through flowing colour, circular movement and dreamlike imagery, the work explores love, transformation and the invisible connection between two lives.

The painting imagines two people entering a rainbow-coloured lake and transforming into fish. Swimming around one another, they travel through changing currents and even the cloudiest waters, guided ultimately towards the light and the person with whom their hearts are deeply connected.

The intertwined fish suggest that love is both a journey and a transformative force. Love of Pisces I reflects the courage to move through uncertainty, remain open to connection and recognise the light that two people may discover within one another.

The Flow of Light series has been presented in multiple exhibitions and public contexts in Sydney, including at Bankstown Library and Knowledge Centre in 2023 and 2025. Selected works from the series were also featured in digital presentations in Times Square, New York, and London in 2024, presented by Plogix Gallery.
