Dancing with Wave is an oil painting from Jingmin Ren’s Flow of Light series. Created intuitively, the work explores the movement of light, energy and perception through fluid colour and form.
Between half-dreaming and half-awakening,
The flow of light arrives as envisaged.
It is a majestic wave and light rain of flowers.

The painting evokes a state between dreaming and awakening, where waves, light and imagined forms seem to merge. Rather than presenting a fixed narrative, Dancing with Wave invites viewers to enter the movement of the work and experience their own associations, sensations and sense of freedom.
The Flow of Light series was presented in Jingmin Ren Art Exhibition 2023 at Bankstown Library and Knowledge Centre, Sydney. Dancing with Wave has also been exhibited at other venues, and the image was selected for use on a wine label.
