The Chinese Singer Xu Wei’s song Blue Lotus brought me a creative impulse.

“Through the Dark period

I felt apprehensive

In this painting, the blue lotus symbolises a human being who emerges from the silted soil without staining; the whole body is transparent, slim, pure and elegant, bathed in the magnificent sunshine to pursue the consistency of hope and light. Maybe it's me; perhaps it's you.

It is a spiritual pursuit of self. Therefore, I am happy to share the glory I felt when painting this artwork.
